The Workday System Administrator will be a key role in the implementation/maintenance of Workday. This role will have a specialized focus on the Finance applications within Workday so experience with Workday Finance and Workday Payroll is required. We are looking for someone with implementation and integration experience. This role is remote but being located in the Denver Metro area is preferred.
Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability
Assists in determining organizational needs for system implementation and upgrades as it relates to the financial modules within Workday.
Support maintenance of Workday configuration including setup and functional configuration.
Must maintain confidentiality avoid conflict of interest and adhere to compliance/HIPAA standards administered under HR/Operations.
Compile data analyze data and/or create custom reports on employee productivity attendance records attrition employee benefits workforce development compensation information as it relates to HR requests.
Work closely with business team members in supporting all Workday technical functions to facilitate effective business solutions and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Business Process Managers Super Users Subject Matter Experts and end users. Work closely with developers both internal and external to define programming requirements and test programming solutions.
Develop technical expertise in various Workday technologies including but not limited to system performance environmental and architectural troubleshooting.
Responsible for collaborating with crossfunctional teams to identify and determine solutions and/or workarounds for technical issues.
Review software updates and releases and assist with testing as required. Support upgrades interfaces to other core business systems interfaces to external systems and helping to define and support IS processes.
Ensure all configuration updates follow proper procedures and workflow in order to comply with internal audit requirements.
Work closely with end users to prioritize and manage completion of support tickets.
Track and report support metrics Leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including workflow reports interfaces conversions enhancements and forms.
Assist in resolving user howto questions and develop training documentation as necessary to minimize reoccurrences of user error.
Log route and manage support requests in ticket tracking system.
Configure and administer security in compliance with policies and procedures. Accountable for the maintenance of system security.
Document and control all changes made to productions systems via change control process.
Manages the system configuration data audits and corrections and introduction of new functionality of the Workday system.
Qualifications
Preferred: Bachelors degree in one of the following: Computer Science Information Management Statistics or Mathematics
Minimum: One lifecycle implementation of Workday including workflow development and integrations with external benefit providers.
Must have Workday Finance and Workday Payroll experience.
3 years of experience with Workday implementation
Preferred: 13 years of experience in Workday and/or PeopleSoft (HRIS/ERP platform now owned by Oracle)
Excellent problem solving analytical and troubleshooting skills
Proven communication skills with welldeveloped verbal written and presentation ability
Strong work ethic intellectual curiosity good judgement mature and positive attitude
The typical base pay range for this role is USD $91700 $137800 per year.
Individual base pay depends on various factors in addition to primary work location complexity and responsibility of role job duties/requirements and relevant experience skills and other marketbased factors.
