Student Assistant
Under the supervision of the researchmanager(s) the Research Assistance supports research activities for ongoing and newly initiated clinical trial studies in the UF Health Precision Heath Research Center. ThestudentResearch Assistant will be responsible for communicating with research participants collecting survey data and data entry. Will be responsible for meeting deadlines paying attention to detail and protocol requirements. Must understand and comply with the regulatory policies and procedures regarding human subject research: governmental state and as required by the University of Florida. Duties include:

This position is open to all University of Florida degreeseeking students (undergraduate and graduate) who are in good standing. Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Registered students are employed on a parttime basis up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during summer.
Prefer candidates frompsychologypublic health and health professionshealth and humanperformancesocialor behavioral sciencesnursing or gerontology.
EXPERIENCE
- Working in healthcare or academic research environments
- A customerservice orientation and/or experience working with older adults
- Committed to participant protection and privacy
KNOWLEDGE
- Familiar with regulations surrounding research participant recruitment including humansubject protection health studies and Institutional Review Boards
SKILLS
- Survey tools such as Qualtrics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Outlook PowerPoint and data analysis software (Excel SPSS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ABILITIES
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility as expectations and deadlines shift
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate reasonable expectations regarding workflow deadlines and deliverables
- Ability to plan execute and complete work assignments independently efficiently and accurately while working as part of a team in a fastpaced highprofile multidisciplinary work environment
- Ability to learn and communicate effectively regarding a variety of technical resources and complex research programs and initiatives
