Job Description
Position Function:
Supervise or assist in providing athletic training services for Golf and Tennis. Perform other duties as assigned by Associate AD of Sports Medicine and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine. Must be a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and be able to be licensed by the State of Mississippi.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee (Athletic Trainer) or assist (Asst Athletic Trainer) the athletic training needs for Golf and Tennis. This includes direct team and sport coverage.
2. Assist in the daytoday operations of the athletic training room. Ensure proper use of equipment and facilities by studentathletes including adherence to athletic training room time schedules and proper operating procedures.
3. Assist the Associate AD of Sports Medicine and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine with the prevention and care of studentathlete injuries and illnesses.
a. Maintain computerized health/injury records on supervised studentathletes.
b. Serve as liaison between studentathletes and the team physicians. This includes ensuring compliance with team physician instructions.
4. Obtain required continuing education requirements to fulfill state and BOC certification maintenance.
5. Ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team with the strength and conditioning sports nutrition and sport psychology/counseling staffs.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Assistant Athletic Trainer This position may have supervisory responsibilities over Student Athletic Trainers.
Athletic Trainer This position may have supervisory responsibilities over Asst Athletic Trainer Athletic Training Fellows and/or Student Athletic Trainers.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in related field
Experience: Two 2 years professional/Collegiate Division I athletic program as a staff or graduate assistant athletic trainer
Certification: Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainer Board of Certification and be able to be licensed by the State of Mississippi.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable recruiting and thirdparty NIL rules and policies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Exceptional planning organizational time management skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekend hours.
Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Valid Drivers License.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Regularly involves lifting bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat cold noise dirt chemicals etc.
Job frequently requires walking standing lifting sitting reaching talking hearing and handling objects with hands.
Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
