About the Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Design and Construction the Facility Manager for Westport will manage and direct both frontofhouse (FOH) and backofhouse (BOH) operations leveraging mostly thirdparty resources and partners to ensure overall operational performance supporting short and longterm real estate goals.

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability efficiency and sustainability of key building operations and systems that support the daytoday and longterm success of our properties. This includes ensuring proper meeting and reporting cadences with appropriate checks and balances for the site(s) to meet specific site SLA and KPI in a class A environment.

The ideal candidate will have technical experience and a deep understanding of BOH operations and infrastructure systems (with FOH operational experience) as well as excellent leadership and communication skills in managing and interacting with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Ensure the of plans across FOH/BOH operations in partnership with other key stakeholders such as Security (CCTV/ACS) IT (AV/Network) and Business Services (soft services)
  • Strive for enhancement of services while maintaining focus on cost control and leveraging mostly thirdparty support
  • Develop and implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize the efficiency and sustainability of building systems and other operations through proper business planning and justification
  • Establish strong communication methods for liaising and communicating with customers internal departments upper management vendors and contractors (including building owners administrators) to ensure that requests and requirements are addressed

Operational and Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee and provide daily support to site facilities operations including critical equipment and tasks such as general work orders lighting/electrical HVAC fire/life safety elevators and power generation as well as porterage/handyman services and exteriors
  • Define and execute the strategic direction for the management and optimization of critical infrastructure across site(s) which includes monitoring analytics and reporting
  • Perform site assessments publish assessment reports based on initial findings inclusive of recommendations for risk remediation and improvements
  • Manage the lifecycle of infrastructure systems from design and installation to maintenance upgrades and decommissioning
  • Implement and enforce policies that ensure a safe working environment for all staff and occupants
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements and identify areas that require consultancy or compliance expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred
  • 10 years of experience in property operations and critical management with strong technical knowledge in building systems with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Residential or Hospitality experience is a plus
  • Ability to effectively respond to and solve problems concerning sensitive issues complex inquiries or complaints
  • Proven track record in leading and collaborating on tasks and projects while driving efficiency improvements
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Indepth knowledge of developing managing and reporting on budgets
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to optimize performance
  • Strong problemsolving abilities with excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
