The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) seeks a System Administrator to joinour Mission Systems Operations team in Herndon VA. Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design build test deploy operate and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of an organizations IT infrastructure including servers VMs networks and data storage solutions.
- Lead and mentor the IT systems team assigning tasks ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering professional development.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance for systemrelated issues ensuring high performance security and availability of IT systems.
- Coordinate and manage IT projects including system upgrades network improvements and integration of new technologies ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures ensuring that all IT systems comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- A current Full Scope intelligence Poly (FSP).
- System Administration experience of Linux/Unix or Windows platforms.
- 5 years experience in troubleshooting complex network problems.
- 5 years experience in communicating with customer representatives in a variety of forums in both written and spoken form regarding technical subjects.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Extensive experience with both RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows servers including installation configuration administration and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to manage optimize and secure server environments ensuring high availability performance and scalability.
- Familiar with advanced features such as virtualization automation and patch management across both platforms and capable of integrating these systems into a cohesive IT infrastructure to support organizational needs
- Extensive experience in following Defense Information Systems Agency DISA standards including the Security Technical Implementation Guides STIGs to ensure IT devices are properly configured and secured.
- Skilled in hardening systems across various platforms by applying STIGs to mitigate vulnerabilities and comply with military and federal cybersecurity requirements.
