Job Summary
A Community Peer Liaison is an individual who is in recovery from AOD use and/or GMH for an appropriate period of time (greater than or equal to 1 year) and provides experience strength and hope to individuals their families and significant others who are seeking help for themselves or their loved ones. A CPL is also a Certified Peer Support Specialist who has passed CBIs comprehensive PSS Certification Program. A CPL serves as that single point of contact assisting the caller with navigational services throughout Community Bridges Network of services and provides a variety of referrals and resources in the community. The CPL receives support and Clinical Guidance by the Clinical Manager and PSS & Outreach Services Supervisor. A CPL will document all patient interactions according to the Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) Arizona Department of Health Services/Department of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS) Provider Manual Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Community Bridges Policies and Procedures. The CPL will also carry out other duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Peer Support Management.
Skills/Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or GED is required. Associates degree (or higher) in a field related to Behavioral Health is preferred but not required of this position.
- Must be in recovery from Alcohol or and/or GMH for equal to or greater than 1 consecutive year.
- 13 years of fulltime Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
- 13 years of substance abuse/mental health recoveryoriented service is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of ninety 90 days experience in a Navigator I or Peer Support Specialist role required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must obtain a fingerprint clearance card
- Must possess a current valid drivers license. Must be able to provide a 39month MVR.
