This is a fulltime hourly paid position with pay to be determined by years of experience.
The ideal candidate would require minimal training and be able to work without guidance
Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to perform a written assessment.
Duties:
Utilize software to update and extract information
Gather and review necessary client documents
Prepare and complete applications and petitions under attorney supervision
Communicate effectively with clients staff or outside agencies to resolve legal related issues
Draft correspondence edit and file pleading with State and Federal courts
Manage caseload and conduct research
Respond to inquiries from current clients
Ability to manage multiple projects under stress and strict deadlines
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of familybased petitions and Removal Proceedings 42B 42A AOS Asylum Bonds)
Experience with USCIS EOIR and criminal court
Excellent writing grammar proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail
Bilingual: Fluent in both English & Spanish (speaking reading and writing) required applicants will be tested for proficiency.
Immigration Litigation Legal Assistant experience required
Administrative office experience preferred 12 years
Software: Microsoft Word Excel Intermediate knowledge required Microsoft Dynamics365 Curo Sharepoint preferred but not required
