Description

CNC Recruitment is seeking a detailoriented and qualitydriven QA Lab Technician to join our prestigious global client in the food production sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an internationally recognised business committed to excellence sustainability and food safety.

About the Role:

As a QA Lab Technician you will be a vital part of the Quality Assurance team ensuring product safety legality and compliance with internal and external quality standards. You will work crossfunctionally to maintain the companys IFS Higher Level certification and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Location: Beaminster Dorset
Type: FullTime Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 13.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling and analysis of goods in including density and moisture testing
  • Perform blend build checks and approvals
  • Prepare and manage internal products tasting sessions and related equipment
  • Commission samples for external lab analysis including physical preparation and documentation
  • Administer submission forms lab tables and sample labelling
  • Record and manage test results in SAP
  • Assist with new product development and flavour granule release
  • Escalate and report any quality safety or compliance issues


Requirements

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Prior experience within a Quality Management System environment (food industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of IFS or BRC standards (Higher or AA status)
  • Strong understanding of production and warehouse procedures
  • Familiarity with organic standards and QMS protocols

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Competence in SAP or similar systems (preferred)
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills

Education & Certifications:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Level 2 HACCP
  • Understanding of GMP and food safety legislation

Personal Competencies:

  • High attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • Qualityfocused mindset with a proactive attitude
