In Annapurna Labs we are at the forefront of hardware codesign not just in Amazon Web Services (AWS) but across the industry. The work we do is cuttingedge and internetscale while also being deeply important to our customers. We design and build every component of our hardware and software to come together into products that our customers use for accelerated computing: either Machine Learning acceleration or FPGA acceleration.
As a member of the CloudScale Machine Learning Acceleration team you will be responsible for the design and optimization of hardware in our data centers including technologies such as AWS Inferentia which is a machine learning inference product designed to deliver high performance at low cost.

Key job responsibilities
Be part of hardware design team for acceleration cards servers and electrical validation for silicon
Work on schematic design for new acceleration cards
Be involved with AWS Servers testing
Participate in modeling and simulation of interconnects
Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2022 and September 2025
Academic internship or professional experience with schematic design and layout review of PCBs
Academic internship or professional experience with x86 system design and microcontroller programming
Familiarity with oscilloscope and multimeters
Project/Internship experience with Automation (Python Perl Shell or Lua)
Academic internship or professional experience with circuit boards 2layer or 4layer) buck or linear regulators transmission lines (TE TM TEM) highspeed design (USB PCIE) transistors operational amplifiers lowspeed interfaces (I2C SPI) Linux microcontrollers and soldering.
Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools such as Cadence Allegro Cadence OrCAD Altium Designer Autodesk Eagle KiCAD and Spice simulation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
