Qualifications:
College Hours high school diploma or GED
Proficient in use of PC computer and Windows
Working knowledge and understanding of EDULOG routing systems
Able to work productively with little supervision
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
Pass annual physical in accordance with state law
School Bus Driver Certification or able to obtain with six months of hire date
Negative result on drug and/or alcohol tests administered as preemployment random postaccident and/or reasonable suspicion basis in accordance with federal law and district policy
Able to read and interpret maps map grids and routes
Able to climb in and out of all school bus emergency exits
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for assisting in compiling data to produce transportation routing assist in creating routes that minimize time on the route while maximizing ridership; minimizing number of buses utilized and providing a safe and ontime route to and from school. Provide ongoing routing changes to meet changing needs of the district and patrons. Safely drive students to and from school on a schedule assigned by the Transportation Department. Safely transport students and staff to and from district sanctioned activities. Always act in the best interest of the district the students and the community.

School buses emergency equipment (triangle reflectors fire extinguisher bodily fluids kit etc. twoway radio wheel chair lift securements Personal computer telephone printer copier calculator and fax machine
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged driving and sitting. Frequent walking standing twisting climbing stairs stooping bending grasping/squeezing wrist and shoulder flexion/extension. Repetitive hand motions moderate carrying reaching. Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) vehicle fumes noise and dust. Irregular hours and occasional prolonged hours.
