The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) is seeking a Lecturer in the One Year MBA Program. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50% FTE) in a temporary non-tenure-track position.
Lecturer in One Year MBA Program
What you will do:
The Lecturer selected will co-teach the Consulting in Practice course in the One Year MBA program a cohort program in the Business School at the University of Colorado Denver. These may include lectures in all teaching modes (in person hybrid remote or online). Compensation for Lecturers in the One Year MBA program is set at $7000 for teaching an 8-week course. However this course will be co-taught thus compensation will be divided between two Lecturers commensurate with session(s) taught.
The Consulting in Practice course is a required component of the One Year MBA program. The course provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience while they are in the program. A keystone of this course is the opportunity to work in small groups on real-world projects which are designed to give students the chance to implement the tools they have learned throughout the MBA program. This course is scheduled to be offered from April 7 2026 - May 30 2026. Generally the course has in-person meetings on Tues/Thurs from 9-11:30 a.m. and on Tuesday afternoons from 1-3:30 p.m. Although the course will not be offered until the Spring 2026 semester in the One Year MBA program planning of the course including course content and scoping and scouting consulting projects takes place during the fall semester; therefore this co-lecturer would need to be available for occasional fall 2025 meetings and course prep sessions with the lecturer lead for this course.
Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes preparing for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans assessing student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes and adhering to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism cheating absences etc.).

The hiring range has been established at $3500 for co-teaching the course(s) assigned.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is/is not eligible for overtime compensation.
