Amazon Buy with Prime and MultiChannel Fulfillment organizations is looking for a motivated and experienced security architect ready to partner across Amazon tech and security orgs to secure our services and data. As the right candidate you will possess technical skills in software architecture information security tooling and automation software deployment and cloud computing. You should also be able to think strategically and tactically about business product and technical challenges. You are an influencer by nature will be seen as someone that our software engineers security and compliance teams are eager to engage with and have a handson approach with a bias for action. The ideal candidate has the ability to learn new concepts and technologies is able to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines and is able to work effectively across internal and external organizations and remote teams.

You will act as a key member of the team responsible for enabling security as a business enabler by creating practical and scalable security solutions enabling security by design embedding security into Amazon devteamss day to day work and raising security awareness through trainings and mentoring. You will earn trust to establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships with all peers and stakeholders (Security Engineering Legal Business Development Internal Audit etc..

The ability to build repeatable artifacts and assess deliverables as a force multiplier is a critical skill for this role. You should have a demonstrated ability to think about business challenges and articulate technical solutions to solve those problems. As part of the solution architect community you will capture and share best practices with your peers generate internal and external technical content and participate in evangelist and workshop activities to grow the community.

We operate in a hypergrowth environment where priorities shift quickly so a passion and discipline around security and delivery is critical. You will tackle challenging situations every day and given the size of this initiative you will collaborate with various levels across Buy with Prime MultiChannel Fulfillment AWS and other Amazon orgs.

Key job responsibilities
Develop pavedroad security solutions that are scalable to entire org to meet security requirements and best practice including design implementation testing deployment and adoption
Work with information security and other teams within Amazon to align security implementation with the broader enterprise standards and initiatives
Develop technical content such as reference architectures training material to foster a security culture and assist in deploying secure and compliant solutions
Develop broad domain and technical knowledge in AWS and Amazon corporate security solutions including the operational processes and controls in place that support compliance programs
Support internal compliance assessments remediation and continuous security improvements to the organization

8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite S/4HANA SAP Business Warehouse SAP HANA SAP Business Objects etc. and their architecture and infrastructure needs
Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
