Miami Athletics is seeking a dynamic energetic and creativevisual storytellerto helpcreate videocontent for one of the most iconic brands in collegiate athletics with a special emphasis on UMs football program. This position willbe one of the departments chiefvideographers engagingexcitingand inspiringour fan base to consume and share a steady diet of compelling contentacrossvarious platforms fromstagedvideoshoots live game actionandfeaturestohighlightssizzle reels andcommercial spots.
TheAssistant Director of Creative Videowill also work closely withmembers of the communications digitaland video staffs to help drive the creative visionfor theathleticdepartment and ensurethat vision aligns withthedepartments ongoingbrand strategy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Help generate original creative that tells a storyshowcasingthe student athlete experience andengagingall of UMs target audiences.
Engage in the video production processfrom ideation to todistributionand every step in between.
Create content for multiple platforms fromshortformdailysocial mediacontent to longformfeature content for website and broadcast projects.
Serve as the primary football videographer covering practices home games road gamescommunity eventsand special events.
Assist in building and developing the student program for video content.
Assist in capturing and creating content for football recruiting efforts.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference institutional and departmental rules.
All other duties as assigned by theFootball Creative Director.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strongattention to detail
Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigneddeadlines
Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from other team members
Expertise editing videowith Adobe Premiereor similar nonlinear editing software; workingknowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud productsincluding Photoshop Illustrator and After Effects are abig plus Experience with production workflow systems
Expertise or certification in sound design cinematography and other filmspecific skillsets are a plus
Ability to work nights and weekends and travel with certain teams
Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
Bachelors degree required.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
23years ofescalatingshooting and editing experience with a collegiate athletic department sports teamagencyor consumer brand.
Online portfolio/reel that demonstrates expertise in shooting and editing.
