Sr UX Manager Buy with Prime Merchant Experience

We are looking for a strategic Senior Manager of UX Design to lead a team of talented designers crafting thoughtful merchantfacing experiences within the Amazons supply chain design team. In this role you will own the design of critical user journeys across a suite of supply chain and business management tools enabling merchants to easily and efficiently reach their goals. You will establish a vision for a unified set of services set goals for your area of ownership organize your team structure to accomplish those goals and partner closely with product and engineering leaders to move the organization forward.

To be successful in this role you must be an empathetic leader who prioritizes the success of their team has a proven track record in coaching and mentoring highly motivated designers excels at creative problem solving working through ambiguity and setting up structure to meet longterm business goals. You will not only help scale your own team but will also work with design leaders across Amazon to create strong partnerships that move the entire team forward. Strategic management and influencing teams is critical to be successful in the role.

Our team consists of highly specialized UX Designers Visual Designers Researchers and Program Managers collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver innovative customerfacing experiences merchants. As a Senior UX Design Manager you will lead a team of individual contributors often working across disciplines to support a suite of products. You will be responsible for defining the endtoend customer experience vision and ensuring its delivery across your team. You will drive clarity in complexity reduce bureaucracy and remove blockers to move the organization forward. Importantly you will set the CX bar for your organization champion continuous innovation and drive better customer experiences across our product and engineering teams. You will insist on operational efficiency create mechanisms to measure and drive influence and impact and build strong diverse teams with complementary skills.

* Build and communicate empathy for the end user aligning crossfunctional peers on similar goals
* You develop processes that drive quality and efficiency to help designers accomplish more than what they could otherwise

10 years of design experience
5 years of leading multidiscipline Design teams (ie. UX visual design interaction design user research etc. experience
Experience leading design teams of 5 to 10 or more direct reports
Experience leading a diverse team in the delivery of experiences from end to end (user flows wireframes highfidelity visuals)

15 years of design experience
Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design
Experience managing teams and collaborating with partners across multiple time zones
Experience leading design teams including other design or research managers and experienced senior designers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $162300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
