The Embassy Suites San Diego La Jolla is looking for a Front Office Supervisor to join their team! The Embassy Suites La Jolla is just a mile from the University of California San Diego with the Westfield UTC mall just across the way. Attractions such as the Beaches at La Jolla and Torrey Pines and Petco Park are all within about 20 minutes of the property. With 340 guest rooms and 4315 sq. ft total event space.

A Front Office Supervisor is responsible for assigning work and ensuring the completion of daily tasks in Front Office operations in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.If youre looking to take the next step in your hospitality journey this is the right direction where you will be gaining experience leading an amazing team!

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • Leadership skills and hospitable demeanor to service our guests
  • At least one year of experience as a front desk agent and at least one year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Hilton Systems Knowledge a plus

Classification: Full Time
Hourly Range: $25 per hour

What will I be doing

As a Front Office Supervisor you would be responsible for assigning work and ensuring the completion of daily tasks in Front Office operations in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assign work and supervise team member performance in all Front Office procedures including but not limited to guest checkin and checkout lobby traffic and flow luggage assistance telephone operator services and determining room rates and availability
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues and complaints in a timely friendly and efficient manner
  • Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints
  • Schedule assign daily work lead preshift meetings inform and train team members
  • Monitor observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
  • Monitor lobby traffic and adjust staffing accordingly
