Job Description
Position Summary:
Dalkias Smart Infrastructure Solutions (SIS) is seeking a skilled and safetydriven Journeyman Electrician to support our infrastructure modernization efforts in San Antonio TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical lighting systems in new construction environments with a focus on energy efficiency safety and reliability. The Journeyman Electrician will work on a variety of projects including lighting upgrades controls systems infrastructure retrofits and new construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute installation and wiring of lighting systems power distribution panels switches transformers and control systems.
Collaborate with engineers project managers and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with OSHA and company safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of work performed materials used and project status.
Provide input for job costing and material estimation.
Supervise apprentices when required and assist in their training and development.
Support Dalkia SISs commitment to infrastructure improvement nighttime visibility enhancement and energy modernization across communities.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification a plus
Minimum 46 years of experience in commercial/industrial or Utility electrical work
Proficiency with hand and power tools meters testers and other electrical diagnostic tools
Strong understanding of NEC codes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
Strong attention to detail safetyminded and qualityfocused
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with energyefficient lighting systems and smart controls
Knowledge of building automation or energy management systems (EMS)
Experience with retrofit projects or government infrastructure work
OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Stand walk climb ladders bend and kneel for extended periods
Work in various environments (indoor/outdoor high/low elevations confined spaces)
Tolerance for variable weather conditions and potential exposure to electricity
