Satisfactory CORI SORI DCF Registry and SAFIS required.
Bilingual preferred.
General OSHA 30Hour certification preferred but required within three years of employment.
OSHA TraintheTrainer certification preferred but required within five years of employment.

CAREER TECHNICAL & AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION TEACHER
QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate Licensure by DESE in Career Area
REPORTS TO: Coordinatorof Career Technical & Agricultural Education
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Map each grade curriculum to the State Frameworks.
- Provide instruction in the content in accordance with the Massachusetts VocationalTechnical Frameworks in the specified career area.
- Enforce all OSHA safety regulations within the career education setting.
- Instruct students in the field when participating in outside projects.
- Document student performance student behavior and student achievement within the career education setting.
- Provides review and reinforcement of new concepts; supports students in the completion of their assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate knowledge of students IEPs as well as the accommodations and modifications necessary for student success; modify assignments tests and quizzes in collaboration with special educators if required.
- Develop resources for students to be successful such as models graphic organizers and copies of class notes video clips demonstrations etc.
- Participate as a member of the career area department; collaborate with teachers within the department.
- Collaborate with teachers in academic disciplines to facilitate learning activities that are crosscurricular and projectbased.
- Collaborate with the Cooperative Education Coordinator to place students in their career area.
- Maintain documentation including student performance behavior progress data notation of student absences/tardies and conversations with parents and administrators.
- Provide content support outside of the general education classroom as necessary.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum.
- Respond to any correspondence both oral and written that comes from a parent or guardian.
- Participate in conferences and meetings when appropriate; contribute observations and ideas.
- Attend Advisory Board meetings twice per year; attend Open House.
- Keep current with changes in your career area; collaborate with Advisory Board members.
- Accept additional responsibilities as may be required under the direction of theCoordinatorof Career Technical & Agricultural Education.
