Step into Your New Role
Kleinfelder is looking for a detailoriented Senior Land Development Designer to join our southeast engineering team. With expanding opportunities in the region and a variety of clients the ideal candidate will join our high achieving fastpaced team. Excellent communication skills with the willingness to take on responsibilities are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multidisciplinary in nature but experience in traditional industrial/commercial land development solar and/or mining is especially relevant.
This is a hybrid office role and can be based in:
* Raleigh North Carolina
* Atlanta Georgia
* Charlotte North Carolina
Key responsibilities include:
Under supervision and working with experienced staff the successful candidate will complete civil engineering designs and the generation of professional plans and specifications technical calculations exhibits and reports in the following areas:
- Site Layout Grading Storm Drainage Water & Sewer Utilities
- Erosion and Sediment Control
- Storm Water Best Management Practices
- Variety of Civil 3D Plans exhibits and technical deliverables
- Municipal and State permitting
And will be supporting clients by:
- Evaluating design to solve constructability municipal code and site challenges.
- Coordinating with Architects Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Engineers
- Performing site visits to perform job scoping and coordination with survey crews SUE Geotech etc.
- Periodic construction support to include: review of RFIs & Shop Drawings field inspections etc.
Education/Certification:
- Required Bachelor of Science Degreein Engineering
- Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Selfstarter who can work independently and with team members
- Ability to engage in multiple projects to complete successful requirement deliveries
- Ability to organize priorities and multitask effectively
- Proactively troubleshoot and problemsolve with practical clientfocused solutions
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- 38 years of related experience in civil engineering
- Computer skills preferred: AutoCAD Civil 3D HydroCAD WaterCAD MS Office
