Job Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment utensils dishes and cookware while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role supports the overall efficiency of kitchen operations and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes pots pans trays and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish room kitchen floors garbage areas and equipment storage.
- Dispose of trash recycling and food waste appropriately throughout shifts.
- Restock clean items in designated kitchen areas.
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep or cleaning as directed.
- Follow all food safety hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Notify supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods walk bend and stoop with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in hot humid and wet environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to safely operate dishwashing equipment and handle sharp or heavy kitchen tools.

Pay Transparency (California SB 1162 Compliance)
This position is expected to pay within the range of $16$19 per hour depending on experience qualifications and location. This range reflects the base pay for this role and does not include other compensation or benefits.

Required Qualifications
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation standards.
- Food Handlers Certification (obtain prior to start date).
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
