BUS MONITOR SUBS* Morning Midday and Afternoon RunsGeneral Description of Duties:Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent/Designee the purpose of the position is to perform districtbased duties associated with the functions necessary for the transportation of students. Bus monitors may also be used in a temporary assignment to include the transportation of those with various degrees of disabilities. Employees in this position must function at an experienced level equal or greater to those required as described in the Johnston Public Schools Transportation Training and Reference Manual (available at Johnston Public Schools Administration Office).Minimum Education/Training Experience/License Requirements:* High School Diploma or GED with additional education/credentials as may be required for this position.* Attendance at Transportation Annual Summary:* Assist loading and unloading students from school bus and destinations.* Maintain discipline and Conditions:Environmental conditions are a means of describing the physical surroundings of a worker for their job requirements.
