Location:
Lombard IL. This position will follow a hybrid workfromhome/office model with at least three days in the office weekly
Role Summary:
This position supports activities involving Yield Management within the North America Region with focus on the improvement of the company yield through managing ONEs dual goals of providing industry leading operations and maximizing profitability.
In this capacity they will act as an escalation point to resolve operational/financial disputes and requests in a timely fashion. They will also work to maximize profitability through proactive process improvement and crossfunctional coordination.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage daily escalation requests related to Detention and Demurrage disputes from Offshore Sales and related divisions.
Proactively work with related divisions to find out any opportunities for improvement in processes to reduce the number of disputes and escalation requests.
Resolve issues related to outstanding Account Receivable through daily work and process improvement.
Create necessary reports to analyze and evaluate the progress of activities and projects of Strategic Yield Management
Proactively support each team member of Strategic Yield Management to use ONE Business Intelligence Tools such as OPUS Looker Eagle Plus etc. efficiently.
Proactively work with Procurement Inland Operation VCO/Space Control Service Center BPIT Legal and Accounting departments to find out any opportunities for maximizing yield through costsaving/recovering and process improvement
Proactively support Supervisor and upper Managers of Strategic Yield Management to create a strategy and achieve the target
Core Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong data handling skills
Strong analytical skills to clarify problems and opportunities for improvement of ONEs Yield
Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple departments within ONE NA to support create and rollout strategy/tactics
Ability to communicate proper information with external stakeholders
Understands ONEs value proposition and can determine where value is created and or compromised
Successful in persuasion negotiation and problemsolving skills with both internal and external customers
Applies knowledge of present procedures in tandem with educated judgment in the overall decisionmaking process
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
FunctionSpecific Required Skills and Competencies:
Experience in liner operations/logistics industry including experience in Marketing and/or Operations (rail truck etc..
Ability to work cooperatively with other departments within NA and globally.
Proven high level of analytical experience and skills.
Strong proficiency in Google suite applications (Sheets Docs and Slide) as primary and MS applications (Excel Word and PowerPoint) as secondary.
Advanced knowledge of macros pivot tables and formulas in MS Excel/Google Sheet
Required Minimum Years Experience:
5 years of industryrelated experience preferred
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree and above preferred
