Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Department: Supply Chain Lex South (FL)

Primary Function:
Prepares and maintains detailed work instructions operation sheets tool lists process routings item masters and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and their implementation
Accountable for ontime onbudget of manufacturing operations and product development projects.
Designs develops and tests and/or sources various tools jigs machinery equipment for recommended manufacturing methods and manufacturing ergonomics
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new / revised products including establishing goals training team members and evaluating results.
Must be able to assess analyze and improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost reductions to subassembly and assemblies quality improvement and efficiency.
Provides Mechanical/Electrical engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment within the manufacturing facility by designing specifying purchasing and constructing mechanical systems and components.
Provide handson involvement and directions with all equipment and processes to assemblers and maintenance personnel.
Support peers to ensure deliverable products are compliant with customer specific requirements.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
5 Years of Production/Manufacturing Engineering experience
Certified JSTD soldering with the ability to train others
Experience with large manufacturing projects.
Knowledge and experience with the Phase Gate Product Development process
Knowledge of ISO Quality systems and requirements
Knowledge and understanding of Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
Technical expertise in manufacturing processes and methods including flow layout assembly and production.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems standard BOMs and Routings.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
Experience with the Production/Manufacturing of Military products and associated MIL standards is desired.
Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution cabling and control technology is highly preferred.
Skilled in using logic reasoning and sound analysis to evaluate alternative solutions conclusions and/or approaches to problems and implement best course of action techniques.
Management skills to effectively organize multiple priorities tasks and projects.
Quality oriented with attention to detail
Ability to manage tight deadlines prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fastpaced dynamic evergrowing and often ambiguous environment; effective multitasking skills are vital.
Strong appreciation for data integrity and clear process definitions.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts draw valid conclusions and implement corrective actions
Ability to exercise good judgment and utilize decision making skills.
Must be organized & have the ability & drive to meet deadlines & work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels throughout the organization.
Review lessons learned and ability to make updates to processes as needed.
Knowledge of practical engineering science manufacturing methods and technology applications.
Ability to work crossfunctionally with Design Engineering Quality Control Purchasing and Planning departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Power Point and project management software.
