Is this you
You are a detailoriented professional with at least 810 years of consulting engineering experience in the building services environment. Youre confident in your ability to independently manage electrical designs calculations and construction monitoring. Youre also excited by the opportunity to work on PV systems and have a solid grounding in standby power lighting fire detection and building management systems. With excellent communication skills and strong project coordination capabilities you enjoy interfacing with clients and professional teams.
What youll be doing
Youll be responsible for delivering accurate and comprehensive electrical designs and calculations managing project financials and performing diligent construction monitoring throughout the project lifecycle. Youll work collaboratively with engineers across multiple disciplines and actively participate in the design and coordination process. Youll contribute to marketing efforts and client engagement prepare tenders and fee proposals and manage internal project financials. A strong emphasis will be placed on quality client service and adherence to health and safety standards.

What youll need
To be considered youll need a BSc Eng. or BTech in Electrical Engineering along with registration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA. Registration as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech would be highly advantageous. You should have at least 8 years consulting engineering experience specifically within the building services environment. Experience in MV design is essential while SAQCC registration for Design would be a bonus. Proficiency in Revit and BIM tools such as Navisworks Glue and Field is preferred. You should be wellversed in relevant SANS standards (such as 101421&and familiar with standard building contracts like JBCC Fidic NEC and PROCSA. Strong technical skills using AutoCAD electrical software such as Relux Dialux ABB Web Design EcoStructurel or Amtech and high proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are essential. To thrive in this role you must be independent detailfocused and capable of managing your time effectively while delivering quality designs. A valid drivers license and willingness to travel within South Africa and Africa are also required.
