Primary Purpose:
Provide developmentally appropriate instruction and care to meet the academic social emotional and physical needs of prekindergarten students in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Work collaboratively with staff families and the community to support school readiness and early learning.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned (ECPK certification preferred)
- ESL Certification (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of early childhood development and instructional strategies
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to use a variety of technology tools and instructional media
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students parents and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience:
- Experience working with preschoolage children (preferred)
