Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Role
Have you wanted an opportunity to own the quality for software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service This role is for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will own the quality and testing strategy of a globally available distributed systems geared towards controlling managing and monitoring Kuipers terrestrial devices.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement a testing strategy for Kuipers frontend experiences and supporting backend services.
Look for ways to automate testing to drive continuous validation of software.
Partner with engineers product managers and UX designers to shape the customer experience.
Hold a high bar for the quality of software the team delivers.
About the team
Our team owns developing the frontend architecture solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for telecom services; for example identity and account management subscriber management services user provisioning billing and payments customer and technical support tools offer management tools and customer metrics and analytics.
2 years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience in automation testing
Experience in manual testing
Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)
Experience in API & Mobile testing
Experience designing and planning test conditions test scripts and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
