Job Duties:
The Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) Buildings and Grounds department is seeking to fill a grounds worker position. This position will perform the following duties to include but not be limited to performing ground tasks such as mulching weeding planting and pruning; assisting with larger tasks such as tree cutting and brush cleanup; and assisting with moving tasks on campus. The position requires the use of appropriate tools and PPE for the tasks performed; operates equipment such as mowers string trimmers and UTVs and assists the trades crew with larger jobs when needed assisting with tasks like painting changing filters and handling larger jobs.
This position is a seasonal summer position typically working from May to August. Seasonal employees may work up to or exceed 40 hours per week not exceeding 1500 hours per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic grounds/ lawn care maintenance.
Ability to work independently or with others.
Ability to work in a variety of weather environments for example working outside in the heat during the summer. Must have a valid drivers license.
