As our Clinic Coordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hygiene and doctor schedules contributing directly to a positive patient experience and the productivity of our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detailoriented individual with strong communication and multitasking skills to become an integral part of our growing practice.
Responsibilities:
- Sterilization Area Management:
- Maintain a clean organized and efficient sterilization area according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Process and monitor the sterilization of dental instruments and equipment ensuring proper documentation and adherence to infection control standards.
- Ensure adequate supplies of sterile instruments are readily available for clinical staff.
- Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment as needed and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Hygiene Exam Facilitation:
- Monitor the hygiene schedule and proactively communicate with doctors regarding the need for hygiene exams.
- Coordinate the doctors timely arrival for hygiene exams minimizing patient wait times and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Hygiene Schedule Optimization:
- Assist hygienists in maintaining their schedules by efficiently preparing treatment rooms.
- Perform swift and thorough disinfection of operatory rooms between patients adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Greet and comfortably seat hygiene patients in a timely manner ensuring they are prepared for their appointment.
- Anticipate the needs of hygienists and proactively assist with room turnover to minimize delays.
- Communicate any schedule changes or delays effectively to both patients and clinical staff.
- General Clinical Support:
- Assist with restocking clinical supplies in operatories as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Assist with other clinical tasks as directed by the clinical team.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or relevant experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Demonstrate understanding of dental sterilization procedures and infection control protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Proactive and selfmotivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental software (experience with Open Dental is a plus!.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
