DescriptionOverview:We are looking to hire a Construction Supervisor (Instrument and Control) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha must have a minimum of 15 years overall E&I experience in Construction installation precommissioning & commissioning oil and gas industries. Fluency in English is a Responsibilities:Supervise the EPIC Contractors during the of construction activities at construction siteParticipate in reviewing detailed design drawings method statements material requisitions etcCoordinate mobilization and demobilisation of contractors on siteSupervise and approve construction activities and coordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections material submissions and working drawings from contractors and processing documentation as requiredCarryout daily checks on contractors staff and work carried out during the previous day to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specificationsHandle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities including site investigations site surveys etcSupervise and manage installation Earthing and Lightning Protection worksSupervise installation of Lighting and Small Power works Manage and supervise cable tray installation and Fire Alarm System cable laying and termination worksCoordination of finalizing Cable entries cable routes cable diversions etcManage and supervise cable tray installation and Instrument Control & Power Cable laying and termination worksSupervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing worksSupervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels Repeater Panels and Mimic PanelsSupervise installation of Control junction boxes and PanelsGood knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawingsOverall coordination with Mechanical works HVAC works Fire alarm & Loss prevention system works Building Services works etcCable termination and Loop checkingCoordinate precommissioning activities and assist during commissioning of facilitiesInitiate Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC) Hand Over Certificate (HOC) Acceptance Certificate (AC) and facilitate the issuance of Project Completion & Discharge CertificatesWitness SAT precommissioning activities for equipmentMaintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special comments Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actionsSign work permits on behalf of QP and to ensure that contractors compliance with work permitsParticipate in development of asbuilt drawings/documentationPrepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to QP by contractor by paying special attention to all EHV equipment including Quality checksWorks closely with other QP Construction Supervisors (Mech / Arch)Report to QP Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues events at site progress reporting trends and recommendation for improvementAccountable for supervising contractors work that is in progress inspecting work reporting problems and preventing accidents occurring because of negligence by enforcing QP safety standards on the work siteLiaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related mattersLiaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related mattersInspect construction works and materials in accordance with project quality plans and inspection & test plans (ITPs)Coordinate with concerned and End User parties to resolve site issues and refer technical queries to senior construction supervisor and project engineerReview contractors construction plans and schedules including method statements and JSAsRequirements:Candidate must possess a Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an internationally recognized University with extensive construction related experience Good skills in construction management effective communication conflict resolution and relevant courses in HSE QAQC and constructionCandidate should have a minimum of 15 years overall E&I experience in Construction installation precommissioning & commissioning oil and gas industriesMust have good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate with internal and external departments agencies contractors and vendorsExperienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices systems processes and standardsprecommissioning and commissioning of oil and gas including experience at a supervisory level with relevant experienceAbility to interpret methods statements construction schedules and drawingsGood skills in construction management effective communication conflict resolutionAble to resolves problems at site technically & contractuallyHaving exposure with multinational contractors RequirementsWhere are you locatedWhats your nationalityWhat is your notice period; when can you engage this jobPlease only apply and press yes if you have read the requirements education experience and certifications and match Qatar
