The MD General Medicine Consultant at Apollo Hospital Karaikudi serves a crucial role in the delivery of comprehensive medical care to patients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients.

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses.
- Guide and supervise junior doctors and medical staff.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Perform followup visits to assess patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient medical records.
- Participate in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about treatment options and care plans.
- Educate patients on disease prevention and health management.
- Provide consultations and referrals to specialists as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in medical research and treatments.
- Participate in hospital meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Mentor medical students and residents during their training.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- State medical license to practice medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Postgraduate experience especially in a hospital environment.
- Strong understanding of internal medicine and its specializations.
- Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continued professional development and education.
- Experience in patient counseling and health education.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards.
