The Sisters of the Humility of Mary are searching for dedicated individuals to care for our Sisters and Residents with various activities of daily living. $2500 sign on bonus for full time positions after 12 months of good standing with the organization. Candidates must be willing to work all shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Follows each residents/patients plan of care providing direct care to improve or maintain residents/patients abilities. Notify nursing supervisor of any perceived changes in abilities overall condition or symptoms that prevent the ability to deliver care.
- Performs nursing rehab techniques as taught and approved by the community to promote and maintain the health status of the resident/patient.
- Assists resident/patient with meals and nourishments. Monitors food and fluid consumption in order to identify dietary concerns.
- Assists residents/patients with transportation to activities and appointments within the community to ensure the safety and timely arrival of residents/patients.
- Routinely rounds on the healthcare unit to identify needs of the residents/patients.
- Promptly responds to calls for assistance.
- Identifies when clothing and personal items are needing replaced or repaired.
- Takes accurate vital signs and weights. Notifies nursing supervisor of changes.
- Participates in lifestyle engagement programs as requested.
- Always exhibits excellent customer service behaviors and interactions.
- Follows and promotes infection control policies and procedures. Reports occupational exposures to blood bodily fluid infectious material and hazardous chemicals in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Records accurate and legible information about resident/patient care and condition in appropriate sections of the residents/patients record.
- Maintains effective communication with nursing supervisor updating on the residents/patients status throughout the assigned hours.
- Attends staff meetings and educational offerings completing assigned education by stated deadlines. Applies education to practice.
- Maintains attendance as defined by HR policy.
- Floats throughout the healthcare unit to meet the needs of residents/patients and to promote teamwork.
- Provides care and utilizes supplies in a fiscally responsible manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED; current CNA license.
