Job Purpose
Porters ensure that all types of buildings are neat clean free from clutter and safe. Porters will pick up trash sweep mop vacuum or use industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors clean and stock bathrooms.
EXPECTATIONS FOR SATISFACTORY JOB PERFORMANCE
Completes assigned tasks within required time limit/or within companys expectations as directed by customer.
Performs cleanings tasks based on defined scope of work and customer requests. These tasks could include the following:
o Empty wastebaskets and replace liner as needed
o dust/clean tops of office furniture desks and tables
o vacuum all carpeting
o spot clean soiled areas as needed
o clean and sanitize toilets basins and urinals
o Clean counters mirrors and fixtures
o Sweep and damp mop floor with disinfectant
o Spot clean walls partitions and doors
o Refill all restroom dispensers as needed
o Wipe/clean all table tops and chairs
o Wipe/clean vending machines and appliances
o Clean sink and damp mop tile floors
o Sweep and spot mop tile floors
Follows all company policies and procedures
Works safely and within guidelines
Wears uniform at required worksites
Uses floor machines forvacuuming and carpet cleaning within proper operating guidelines
Performs repetitive work according to set procedures and pace
Attends periodic training and safety meetings when required
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICAtions
High school diploma or equivalent plus 13 years of hands on experience in a similar or related role(s).

Interpersonal Skills: Be friendly and pleasant
Mechanical Skills: understand how to work industrial equipment like floor buffers industrial floor washers and fix small building problems like leaky faucets or faulty light switches
Must maintain a neat appearance. A uniform is required at some worksites
Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the client
Must be punctual
Understand and read in English; Some positions require the ability to speak read and write English
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Listening and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of basic custodial duties and responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Able to read and communicate in English
Requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
Repetitive motion involved on a daily basis may include but not limited to bending twisting pushing pulling reaching climbing and squatting
Ability to operate small power tools
Requires stooping kneeling crawling bending turning and reaching into areas not fully air conditioned.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time to include climbing/descending stairwells and ladders
Can work independently and in stressful environments
Regular consistent and predictable attendance
May have responsibility to enter customer facilities that require background screening.

Lleva a cabo las tareas asignadas dentro del plazo requerido o conforme a las expectativas de la compaa segn lo indicado por el cliente.
Realiza tareas de limpieza de conformidad con el alcance del trabajo definido y las solicitudes de los clientes. Estas tareas podran incluir lo siguiente:
o Vaciar cubos de basura y reemplazar las bolsas de ser necesario
o Quitar el polvo/limpiar la superficie de muebles de oficina escritorios y mesas
o Pasar la aspiradora en todas las alfombras
o Sacar las manchas de las zonas que estn sucias segn sea necesario
o Limpiar y desinfectar inodoros lavabos y mingitorios
o Limpiar mostradores espejos y accesorios
o Barrer y pasar el trapeador hmedo con desinfectante en los pisos
o Sacar las manchas de paredes divisores y puertas
o Recargar los dispensadores de todos los baos segn sea necesario
o Pasar el trapo/limpiar todas las superficies de las mesas y las sillas
o Pasar el trapo/limpiar las mquinas expendedoras y los aparatos
o Limpiar los lavabos y pasar el trapeador hmedo en los pisos de baldosas
o Barrer y sacar las manchas de los pisos de baldosas con trapeador
Cumple con todas las polticas y los procedimientos de la compaa
Trabaja de manera segura y en cumplimiento de las pautas
Usa el uniforme en los lugares de trabajo requeridos
Usa mquinas para pisos para aspirar y limpiar alfombras de acuerdo con las pautas operativas apropiadas
Realiza tareas repetitivas de conformidad con los procedimientos y el ritmo establecidos
Asiste a las reuniones peridicas de capacitacin y seguridad cuando se le exige
EDUCACIN Y CERTIFICACIONES
Diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente ms 1 a 3 aos de experiencia prctica en una o ms funciones similares.

Habilidades mecnicas: saber cmo trabajar con equipos industriales como pulidoras de pisos y lavadoras industriales de pisos y arreglar pequeos problemas del edificio como grifos que gotean o interruptores de luz defectuosos
Debe mantener un aspecto prolijo. Se requiere el uso de uniforme en algunos lugares de trabajo
Ser capaz de entender y prever las necesidades del cliente
