We currently have an opening for an Administrative Assistant II

The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agencys remote work program but does require weekly onsite work

The NC Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA) is a business unit within the NC Department of Information Technologys Data Division. The division oversees and administers the NC Health Information Exchange Network now called NC HealthConnex. A Health Information Exchange is technology that allows a secure electronic exchange of healthrelated information between health care professionals that provides the ability to access and securely share vital medical information. The NC HIEA is directed to develop health care partnerships as part of a statewide data integration and datasharing initiative.

The Administrative Assistant II is responsible for reports on program implementation creating or updating procedures training employees in work procedure and following organizational policies. In addition they help maintain operations resolve discrepancies assist with account management and address customer issues by phone or email.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process Medicaid provider agreements and review data for deficiencies
  • Ensure accuracy of records in CRM and JIRA
  • Process optout requests patient education requests accountings of disclosures and terminations requests
  • Facilitate the Intake process
  • Assist with building reports on Medicaidrelated projects and Medicaid beneficiary utilization of HIE services for NC Medicaid and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Monitors Medicaid utilization of NC HealthConnex services and active enrollments

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
