What does a successful Tech Lead Software Development Engineering do at Fiserv

As a Tech Lead Software Development Engineering at Fiserv you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing advanced financial software solutions. Your extensive experience with COBOL JCL VSAM and the Quadient Inspire suite will drive our print and document composition projects. You will lead a team of skilled developers ensuring the delivery of highquality scalable and secure applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients. Your role will be an individual contributor and pivotal in maintaining our reputation as a leader in financial technology solutions.

What you will do:

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers fostering a collaborative and highperformance environment.
• Design develop and maintain applications using COBOL JCL and VSAM ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize Exstream Designer and Design Manager for the creation and management of customer communication solutions.
• Drive endtoend print application solutions using the Quadient Inspire suite including WFD creation print layout data modules writing rules workflow creation data transmission and scripts.
• Oversee full document lifecycle management from data extraction to document composition.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements design scalable solutions and implement new features.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews testing and continuous integration practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends evaluating and integrating new tools and methodologies as needed.

What you will need to have:

• 6 years of experience in software development with handson expertise in COBOL JCL and VSAM.
• 4 years of experience with Exstream Designer and Design Manager.
• 4 years of experience working with XML in HP Exstream Dialogue.
• Extensive knowledge of the Quadient Inspire suite and handson experience with print and document composition.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 3 years of experience in working with AFP format and other output formats.
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash C or Korn.
• Knowledge of finishing features and optimization techniques for file sizes.
• Familiarity with various color management options like Pantone CMYK and RGB.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex systems to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as required by project deliverables.
