Overview
The Media Buyer plays a vital role in a company s advertising strategy executing media buying campaigns that maximize brand visibility and drive customer engagement. By strategically purchasing advertising space across various media platforms the Media Buyer ensures that clients messages reach the desired audience effectively. This role involves researching optimal media channels negotiating ad placements and analyzing campaign performance to enhance overall effectiveness. The Media Buyer must stay updated on industry trends consumer behaviors and technological advancements to develop informed media strategies. As an integral part of the marketing team the Media Buyer collaborates closely with advertisers accounts managers and creative teams to align marketing goals with media strategies. The effectiveness of media buying significantly impacts the return on investment (ROI) for advertising campaigns making this position crucial in today s competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify target audiences.
  • Analyze consumer demographics and media consumption habits.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with media vendors.
  • Manage media budgets and allocate funds across various platforms.
  • Execute and oversee advertising campaigns across digital print radio and television.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of media buys and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance and media buy effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on industry trends new media and technology to enhance buying strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media vendors and industry contacts.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Advertising Communications or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in media buying or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and media landscape.
  • Experience with media planning software and analytics tools.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successful media purchases.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and media representatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and make datadriven decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word).
  • Knowledge of current advertising trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and programmatic buying.
  • Creativity in developing innovative media strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Certification in Google Ads or other media buying tools is a plus.
