Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Plumbing/HVAC Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a local professional with a stable work history and possess a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (BSME). The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of handson experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC design estimating and project management. Proficiency in project management and a proven track record of successful large projects are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate/take off and price from plans for proposals
• On site look at jobs and price them in the Plumbing and AC field
• Technical help to the ac/heating divisions technicians with an understanding of controls and engineering to bring the best product to the customer and solve the problem
• Assist in setting up the contract jobs with materials and labor
• Communicate with potential clients to create a relationship and sell jobs
• Look for opportunities to bring value to our customers with new products and technology
• Understanding the New York laws and regulations to assist our customers in compliance
• Manage project budgets and track expenses
• Prepare and submit project reports
• Ensure compliance with building codes regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in engineering or related field preferred
• 57 years of experience
• 3 years of experience in a supervising or managerial role
• 5 years of project management experience
• Proven track record of managing projects
• Have a working knowledge of the cost of goods and services
• Have a demonstrated ability to solicit evaluate and manage the price schedule and quality of objectives of individual projects
• Understand the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
• Understand project cost control and change order management.
• Have the ability to prioritize large volumes of complex work to meet established deadlines
• Must possess related certifications
• PMP certified or committed to obtain it within 12 months
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
• Proven leadership ability and detail oriented
• Excellent time management and problems solving skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Possess dispute resolution skills
• Proven safety knowledge and skills
• Possess and able to maintain a valid drivers license

Salary: Salary: $90000.00 $145000.00 per year
