In Roches Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organisation (pRED) we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some of the worlds toughest unmet healthcare needs. The objective of this internship is to evaluate the potential of predictive models for reducing sample sizes in clinical trials. Specifically we want to assess the impact of a prognostic score derived from disease progression modelling or machine learning techniques on sample size reduction in Huntingtons Disease trials. To accomplish this the intern will integrate information from natural history studies and clinical trial data to develop predictive models of disease progression.
You are a Bachelors Masters or PhD student specializing in computational biology applied mathematics statistics or physics with experience in machine learning techniques such as Random ForestsGradient Boosting Machines and Lasso Regression.
You have strong programming skills in Julia R and/or Python.
Familiarity with code documentation tools such as GitLab and GitHub is a plus.
You possess excellent command of the English language both written and spoken.
You are a team player with strong communication skills a focused work style and a resultsdriven mindset.
