Summary:
The Customer Support Technician position isaccountable for providing superior customer service to Union Mutuals agents policyholders and business partners in a manner that ensures lasting valueadded relationships. This includes providing support for the production and maintenance of policies through data entry cash processing imaging and other administrative functions.
Essential Functions:
- Provide a high level of service and support by acting as first point of contact for policy claims and billing related phone inquiries from agents insureds and business partners.
- Prepare claims policy and other related documents for imaging images documents to appropriate work flows/locations as assigned.
- Calls or writes body shops appraisers salvage yards police departments towing facilities lienholders and other carriersfor information and posts or attaches information to claims files or otherrelated or similar files.
- Corresponds with insureds claimants body shops appraisers salvage yardstowfacilities and other carriers.
- Utilize Company technology to execute necessary transactions and workflows to support insurance policy management functions including but not limited to quoting issuing new business processing endorsements cancelations and renewals.
- Perform various clerical and technical accounting tasks associated with supporting policy premium collection including but not limited to; daily cash processing deposits and control sheets as assigned.
- Act as a liaison between key business partners including independent agents marketing representatives underwriters and policy holders via phone or written correspondence answering inquiries investigating account problems and/or discrepancies.
- Provide front desk / receptionist support as needed.
- Backup for outbound mail approval/ audit processes
- Research identify and obtain missing policy and account information.
- Work closely with department supervisor to identify and execute opportunities for operational efficiencies and workflow improvements.
- Assist with related special projects as required.
