Licensed Professional Counselor LPC
Harney District Hospital of Burns OR is looking to hire a fulltime LPC to work with HDH primary care providers to assist patients with behavioral needs and support. This position starts at $35.15 and increases based on experience. We also offer exceptional fulltime benefits including $1000/month towards medical & vision $65/month for dental choice of retirement plans and up to 200 hours of paid time off (PTO) per year. You will provide an active presence to the HDH Family Care clinical teams and be available to accept warmhandoffs and provide assessment and brief treatment interventions to patients referred by the medical providers. You will facilitate referrals and coordination to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment telepsychiatry or community resources) as needed or as directed by primary care provider. You will develop and maintain professional relationships and act as a liaison with the local mental health agency to enhance coordination of patients being referred for services at their facility. Your work will help patients effectively resolve individual barriers through followup advocacy and collaboration with staff and other community service providers.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences; Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient and employeebase. Experience with motivational interviewing techniques.
Education and Experience
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in social work and / or counseling from accredited school.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Must possess an active and unencumbered Oregon State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license and / or Professional Counseling (LPC) license and / or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license and must be in good standing with the applicable Oregon Licensing Board.
