Job Description

Junior Program Analyst

Washington DC

This is an Onsite Position

Cortek is seeking a Junior Program Analyst to provide a wide range of administrative support functions for the Office of Weapons of Mass Destruction Terrorism within the U.S. Department of State onsite in Washington DC.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to leadership for organizing and completing Division and officerelated projects and tasks.
  • Assist Government staff in arranging domestic and international travel utilizing the E2 Travel System.
  • Manage transportation and hotel reservations arrange schedules of visits notify organizations and officials to be visited and arrange local accommodations.
  • Assist in recordkeeping compliance for contracts grants and interagency agreements.
  • Assist in timekeeping for PSC and FTE employees.
  • Maintain an office calendar of appointments including scheduling appointments events conferences travel and leave schedules for leadership. This requires coordinating multiple schedules and knowing the supervisors and staffs schedules as well as previous commitments.
  • Scheduling meetings reserving conference and meeting rooms issuing conference call numbers sending our meeting invites recording and transcribing meeting minutes and other logistical support associated with setting up and conducting meetings.
  • The appropriate delivery of mail and other correspondence
  • Other tasks associated with Administrative support

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Candidate must have strong organizational multitasking planning time management and communication skills i.e. written verbal and use of Outlook
  • Detailoriented analytical critical thinker with sound judgment and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of the organizations duties priorities commitments policies and program goals.
  • Ability to coordinate complex issues at any given time required.
  • Must adhere to legal professional and ethical codes concerning confidentiality and privacy.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint Teams and EndNote Planner and other tools within the Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to anticipate the needs of the organization and take calculated steps in addressing those needs

Requirements:

  • A College Degree is preferred yet experience in a similar work setting may be accepted in lieu of educational minimums.
  • Minimum 46 years of related experience preferably with State
  • Must obtain a U.S. governmentissued Secret Clearance.

Clearance:

Secret Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
