Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the accounting department ensuring accurate financial records compliance with regulatory standards and the efficient use of resources. This role requires strong leadership skills to support the companys goals.
Daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable receivable GL and bank reconciliations.
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month end and year end closings
Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements in all financial reporting.
Monitor and analyze data to produce accurate financial reports and statements.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the companys annual budget and financial forecasts.
Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field (required)
CPA or CMA preferred
Minimum of 57 years accounting experience with 23 years in a manager role
Experience in legal billings a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software
High attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication both written and verbal
Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting
