Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible for overseeing the care of our senior residents. These handson caregivers work directly to assist residents with daily care needs. They are responsible for supervising nursing assistants and maintaining a high standard of care accurate recordkeeping and licensing requirements as directed by the Director of Nursing. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of state regulations and medication administration are necessary. LPNs must be dedicated compassionate and respectful. We are looking to hire LPNs for our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living area. Full time 7p7a shifts available.

Qualifications: Current Licensed Practical Nurse license CPR certification or ability to acquire within 60 days Experience in senior care is preferred
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct the daytoday functions of the Elder Assistants and Medication Technicians in accordance with current rules regulations and guidelines that govern the longterm care facility.
Ensure that the written policies and procedures that govern the daytoday functions of the nursing service department are followed by all nursing personnel assigned to you.
Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the residents total regimen of care is maintained.
Ensure that the nursing personnel under your direction are following their respective job descriptions.
Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms reports studies charting etc. as necessary.
Participate in the facilitys quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
Participate in the updating of the residents written discharge plan as required.
Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the residents discharge plan as necessary.
Participate in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift are required.
Periodically review the departments policy & procedure manuals etc. Make recommendations for revisions.
Meet with your assigned nursing staff as well as support personnel in planning the shifts services programs and activities.
Interpret the departments policies and procedures to personnel residents visitors and government agencies as required.
Assist with admission transfer and discharge residents as required
Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
Perform charting and documentation according to facilities policy and procedure manual.
Prepare administer and document medication as ordered by physician and according to facility policy and procedure manual.
Function as an Assistant Responder for Independent Living residents.
