About the Opportunity

William Clarke College is seeking a suitably skilled College Counsellor who will work with students and their families from Preparatory to Year 12 providing valuable support counselling and psychological assessment for students with specific needs. The role involves counselling students assessing students learning and behaviour helping families make informed decisions about their childs education identifying impediments to students learning and liaising with external agencies regarding students wellbeing.

This is a Permanent FullTime (School Terms plus 5 weeks per year) position.A parttime role may be considered for the right applicant

About You

  • Registration as a Psychologist qualifiedto undertake psychoeducational social/emotional or behavioural assessments and diagnosis
  • The ability to work sensitively with students and their families with respect to a students social emotional and learning needs
  • Proven ability to problem solve and negotiate conflicting priorities
  • Excellent written phone verbal face to face communication and active listening skills
  • Strong administration skillsorganisational and time management skills
  • Ability to apply sound judgement with a high degree of confidentiality
  • The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
  • Regularpracticing member of a Christian church
