SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Associate Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences
POSITION SUMMARY: Twelvemonth openrank tenuretrack or clinical faculty position to serve as the Program Director for the developing Doctor of Science . in Health Sciences program. The Program Director will take the lead in designing the curriculum courses and overall structure of the DSc program in consultation with the Associate Dean for the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Dean for the College of Health. The new . program at Moravian University will be offered as an online program with focused inperson residency experience(s) at the institution. Thus there is opportunity for this position to be remote.
Preferred start date is June 2025 but an August 2025 start is negotiable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Director Responsibilities:
- Develop direct and oversee the Doctor of Science in Health Sciences Program ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Lead program design development implementation assessment and administration.
- Collaborate with the Program Directors of professional programs within the College of Health to promote interdisciplinary initiatives and shared resources.
- Ensure program effectiveness through continuous curriculum assessment faculty development and student engagement strategies.
Faculty Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach courses within the Doctor of Science in Health Sciences program and as applicable across the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and College of Health.
- Utilize expertise in online learning platforms hybrid learning models and andragogical strategies for adult learners.
- Engage in teamteaching and interdisciplinary education within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and College of Health.
- Participate in scholarly activities mentorship and service to the university and profession.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned research doctorate (e.g. PhD EdD DSc) in a Health Related field preferred earned post professional clinical doctorates will be considered
- Minimum of six years fulltime teaching / administrative experience in a Higher Education setting
- Evidence of successful online or hybrid teaching experience with adult learners at the University level
- Evidence of curriculum development
- Evidence of successful scholarship and sustained scholarly agenda (tenuretrack option)
- Evidence of facetoface teaching experience is preferred
- Demonstrated engagement and service to their healthrelated field is preferred

SCHOOL COLLEGE UNIVERSITY & FACILITIES: The School of Rehabilitation Sciences houses undergraduate programs in Health Sciences (BS) and Public Health (BS or BA) and graduate programs in Athletic Training (MSAT & DAT) Occupational Therapy (MSOT & PPOTD) SpeechLanguage Pathology (MSSLP SLPD) and Physical Therapy (DPT). The School of Rehabilitation Sciences is housed in the newly renovated Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Center. Additionally students have access to resources in the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences. Both buildings house cuttingedge technology for student education.
