Field Technician

General Information:

Title: Field Technician

Status: Fulltime Nonexempt

Location/Site:

Hours: Monday Friday possible nights and weekends. 10 dayson/5 daysoff hitch schedule for nonlocal employees

Pay: BiWeekly

Reports to: Superintendent

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Overview:

To be successful in this position the individual must be reliable detailoriented and must be able to function effectively both as a member of a rigmove team and also work independently in the delivery of service maintenance and repairs. Work locations are remote geographically dispersed and fully exposed to all extremes of weather. Successful performance will require both physical and mental exertion & resilience. Maintenance issues that occur afterhours will be addressed in an oncall rotation basis. Field Service Technician will frequently drive long distances work with exposed wastewater (sewage) and experience double & triple shifts successful Field Service Technician must be able to accomplish these tasks without compromising the delivery of quality safety or customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver water and wastewater purification trailers to remote customer sites
  • Rig equipment up/down as customer sites relocate
  • Perform various types of basic preventative maintenance & repairs
  • Plumbing from source to delivery
  • Communicate clearly & respectfully with both coworkers and customers
  • Monitor the performance of water and wastewater purification units
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with System Operators Lead Technicians FSTs and Remote Monitoring Technicians
  • Share experience(s) with fellow technicians and learn from lead technicians.
  • Cooperate with internal and external customers to keep the work environment safe secure and healthy.
  • Frequently load and unload materials used on locations install plumbing and clean equipment or facilities on locations.
  • Dig holes or trenches for pipe or pots.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within your scope of practice that help to drive our Vison fulfill our Mission and abide by our Core Values.

Requirements:

  • High School Grad; or GED
  • Valid drivers license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years).
  • Acceptable background check clear of DWI convictions for the last 5 years.
  • Travel to work locations
  • Maintain respectable appearance professional demeanor
  • Drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles are required to be 21 years of age or older DOT regulations
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 25 years of industry related experience in similar role(s)
  • Posses a CDL preferred usage includes 510 throughout the year
  • Ability to use basic hand/power tools for installation and maintenance purposes
  • Physical ability to sit stand walk for long periods and to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • High mechanical aptitude ability to apply troubleshooting techniques productively
  • Ability to access computer systems to determine required maintenance activities
  • General computer/cellphone navigation abilities navigating on a computer using a mouse typing changing screens etc.
  • Knowledge of the oilfield industryexpectations and environment.
  • Experience with customer service client communication and technical environments
  • Experience in water/wastewater purification preferred
