You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Patient Care Associate/Nursing Assistant in the Emergency Trauma Center you will find your purpose providing an array of medical services designed to keep adults feeling well and in control of their health!Under the supervision of the RN the PCA/NA performs various duties assisting staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients. PCA/NAs are responsible for critical monitoring like vital signs and glucose checks so we can better assess their health. Transporting patients to appointments and procedures to get them the right care at the right time. Interacting with patients to promote comfort and express compassion and empathy as they heal. Walking its one of the most important things we can do for them and you get to help them do it safely as well as other ADLs (activities of daily living). These are things we often take for granted that patients may be unable to or need help doing themselves. ADLs include bathing brushing teeth toileting and more.
