JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Eberly College of Science Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill one postdoctoral scholar position in computational astrophysics.
The successful candidate will lead the implementation of new features in the AthenaK code in collaboration with Dr. David Radice (Penn State) and Dr. Jim Stone (IAS) and they will participate to the research program led by the Penn State numerical relativity group. There will also be ample opportunity to collaborate with other members of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos which includes among others Dr. Abhay Ashtekar Dr. Eugenio Bianchi Dr. Martin Bojowald Dr. Chad Hanna Dr. Sarah Shandera and Dr. B.S. Sathyaprakash. This position requires a Ph.D. in Astronomy Physics Mathematics or a closely related field.
