Job Purpose
1. Safety Compliance and Regulations
- Maintain and update safety policies and procedures in line with cluster and corporate requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety standards.
- Implement & Coordinate with the Cluster Safety Head for Safety implementation. (SBO and WTI).
- Organize Safety Gate meeting with stakeholders.
2. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify for 3M Hazardous.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Ensure employees and contractors are aware of potential hazards and safety precautions.
3. Workplace Safety and Monitoring
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety guidelines.
- Oversee safe handling storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
4. Training and Safety Awareness
- Conduct safety training programs toolbox talks and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
- Develop safety training modules and emergency response plans.
- Promote a safetyconscious culture across the organization.
5. Incident Investigation and Reporting
- Investigate workplace accidents nearmisses and incidents.
- Maintain records of incidents prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and management on safetyrelated issues.
6. Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Conduct mock drills for fire chemical spills and other emergency scenarios.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of emergency equipment first aid kits etc..
7. Contractor Safety Management
- Ensure contractors comply with the safety requirements of the cement unit.
- Conduct safety inductions and audits for contractors and visitors.
- Monitor contractor activities and enforce safety protocols.
8. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance
- Ensure environmental and occupational health compliance in cement manufacturing processes.
- Monitor emissions dust control noise levels and waste management as per regulatory norms.
- Work closely with environmental teams to ensure sustainable safety practices.
9. Continuous Improvement and Safety Initiatives
- Implement safety improvement programs and initiatives.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and drive continuous improvement.
- Keep updated with best practices and innovations in occupational safety.
