Description

Assist with HR Onboarding Process

Assist with the overall recruitment and hiring process of potential new hires. Screen incoming employment applications and/or rsums and effectively analyze and evaluate without any form of discrimination the results to determine if the applicant meets the necessary job requirements and qualifications before moving on to the interview process. Receive and collect all the necessary preliminary information as part of the preemployment application process and maintain all documentation of the applicants employment application. Assist the director of personnel with interviewing applicants to obtain information on work history training education job skills and abilities. Conduct any relevant reference and background checks as appropriate for the position. If necessary perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases networking Internet recruiting resources and employee referrals. Recruit applicants for open positions arrange job fairs with college or university campus representatives. Advise the director of personnel on organizing preparing implementing and/or maintaining company recruiting and retention programs.

Clerical and Department Administrative Duties

Prepare and maintain employment records. Deliver employment applications including supplemental documentation of qualified applicants to the immediate supervisor. Routinely check that personnel documentation filing typing and recordkeeping are being maintained according to company standards. Ensure that all personnel records are safely secured at the end of the business day. As needed advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures. Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to educational professional statistical and testing standards recommending revision as needed.

Professional Development

Regularly research and maintain knowledge of current preemployment trends employment labor relations recruitment resources and processes Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act state disability regulations and issues associated with discrimination retaliation and negligent hiring.

Perform Other Duties as Assigned

At all times maintain excellent personal service to all personnel while maintaining a level of sensitivity and fairness; attend all relevant staff meetings; provide assistance in the improvement of human resources management systems and procedures; demonstrate flexibility and understanding when asked or required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience/License Required

Prefer a minimum of a associates degree in related field with 1 year of relevant experience in human resources management and personnel information systems; must be fluent in the English language and be able to communicate and convey information and directions effectively; be able to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships among office staff and management; be able to work and communicate effectively with supervisors peers or subordinates; must be skilled in clerical procedures and systems such as word processing managing files and records designing forms creating systems and processes and other related office procedures; maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing materials and entering information; possess strong skills in identifying the qualifications skills knowledge and abilities of potential job candidates using an interactive interview process; possess skills in active listening writing organization analytical problem solving stress and time management; possess skills in working with a personal computer including the use of Microsoft Word Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook for email proficiency; able to work in a fastpaced work environment; possess a high degree of trustworthiness respect and sensitivity for others; need to demonstrate work flexibility and a sound work ethic; and meet set job related goals and objectives.
