Job Description
Overview
Presbyterian is seeking a detailoriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders prepackaging compounding pharmaceuticals refilling stock supplies delivering medication and performing various clerical duties as required.
This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.
Type of Opportunity: Full Time 1.0 FTE/40 hours per week)

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Tech State of NM
- Certified Pharmacy TechnicianPTCB
- OR Certified Pharmacy TechnicianNHA
Responsibilities
- Performs all nonsterile medication ordering preparation and dispensing activities including but not limited to:
- Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas of the facility
- Use of pharmacy technology Pyxis Pharmogistics CII safe
- Nonsterile compounding labeling and repackaging.
- Nonsterile unit dose packaging
- Cart tray and kit preparation.
- Handling of nonsterile hazardous medications
- Proper waste or disposal
- Maintains required recordkeeping for controlled and noncontrolled substances.
- Delivers supplies to the patient unit and ancillary areas.
- Answers telephone and responds to questions and problems.
- Checks stock on a regular basis to identify and reorder outdated stock and ensures that stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
- Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
- Performs other functions as required or assigned.
