The Role: We are looking for a talented and driven Creative Program Manager Technical Publications to manage and execute the Amazon Device packaging User Experience (UX) inbox documentation development within the Device Packaging Experience (DPX) team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the workflows and development of Quick Start Guide Warranty Safety Legal Documentations User Manuals and Setup Guides. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership customer obsession bias for action and strong ability to deliver results while upholding the highest standards.
Key job responsibilities: As a Creative Program Manager Technical Publications you will manage the daytoday inbox documentation development workstreams across programs and publications change requests postproduction. You will establish relationships with stakeholders and collaborate closely with an inhouse design team and production vendor to execute. You will also partner with other Creative PMs Regional PMs Retail EPMs and crossfunctional stakeholders (e.g. hardware/software product managers GotoMarket managers product counsel hardware compliance legal/engineers safety and compliance legal) from actual artwork development through Release to Print.
Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate with designers external design agency stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to drive inbox documents artwork development for new products and execute packaging change requests
* Create datadriven solutions for technical publications by synthesizing multiple data sources including user studies survey results and customer reviews
* Partner with UX research teams to conduct usability studies and implement findings into documentation design
* Drive artwork approvals with stakeholders to meet development schedule through release to print including managing multiple revision rounds ensuring compliance requirements coordinating stakeholder reviews and maintaining version control until final production handoff to the supplier
* Update and communicate workback schedule to peers and stakeholders proactively. Communicate delays and escalate effectively when needed
* Manage scope track and maintain programs to stay on budget and schedule; send final files to packaging vendors per standardized SOP
* Develop and/or support initiatives to optimize crossteam mechanisms procedures and best practices
2 years of program or project management experience
2 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams
Proficiency in packaging development systems project management tools (e.g. Slack Wrike) and digital proofing platforms (e.g. Ziflow Orange Logic)
Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas to audiences across all levels and regions
Experience with user research methodologies and data analysis tools
Demonstrated ability to translate user data into actionable documentation solutions
Ability to manage multiple highpriority programs concurrently
Experience managing vendor relationships for print and digital deliverables
Experience with different file formats for digital and print production materials
3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3 years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes project management and schedules
Experience in US and international localized packaging development
Technical background in digital inbox documentation including responsive design accessibility standards and content management systems
Background in conducting user research and applying findings to technical documentation
Experience in creating digital interactive setup instructions for consumer electronics
Proficiency in advanced digital publishing tools for interactive and multimedia documentation
Knowledge of user experience (UI/UX) principles applied to digital instruction design; experience with QR code integration in setup guides
Experience in consumer electronics documentation and familiar with industry trends

The base pay for this position ranges from $66800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142800/year in our highest geographic market.
